Who I am and why I’m here.

My name is Virginia.

I want to explore “problem novels” in Young Adult Literature. Are they a legitimate genre that we should encourage teens to read, or are they just melodramatic “after school specials?”

I am currently seeking have a Secondary English Ed certification from Grand Valley State University in Grand Rapids, MI.

I have a B.A. in Music from Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, MI.

I live in Colorado Springs, CO.
